Nun calls Christmas-cancelling lockdowns “a demonic thing”

Sister Maria Francis is a Catholic nun and a nurse. In a video interview, at a Toronto protest against the lockdowns, she said:

“We are not made for ourselves. We are made for others. It’s a demonic thing to take you away from your loved ones. Not to have Christmas celebrations — that’s taking God away from the family and taking love away from the family.”

While I’m not Catholic myself, I’m pleased to see more of those in their religious orders finally speaking out against the closing of churches and the cancelling of one of their most important celebrations, over an invisible pandemic.

Still, how strange, that there are so few who are so brave as this little nun.
