“Social distancing and lockdown is the absolutely worst way to deal with an airborne respiratory virus,” says Professor Knut Wittkowski in interview with Journeyman Pictures.

Wittkowski was head of Rockefeller University’s Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (for 20 years).

He explains why social distancing (except for the elderly and ill) is unscientific, prevents herd immunity and prolongs society’s exposure to the virus.

He skips the fear and hype and lays out the data. As at least 12 other experts have said, COVID19 is (at best) only slightly worse than flu viruses already in circulation.

Wittkowski and others argue that the pandemic has gone on so long because of the interventions put in place to “fight” it; not because the virus is particularly harmful or contagious. Wittkowski explains why the “war on COVID” in putting the well-being of the elderly, society and the economy at great risk; while doing nothing to help exterminate the virus the pandemic would have been over in four weeks if social distancing and isolation were not imposed. The flatter the curve the longer it will take to extinguish the virus.

Wittkowski says that staying indoors keeps the virus healthy and slows recovery; while going outside decreases the spread of COVID while speeding recovery.
