Contact tracing: An Orwellian surveillance grid in its infancy?

“Contact tracing.” In this 2-minute CTV news clip, a national “contact tracing” program is what our Ontario Premier is calling for. Is it just me or is contact tracing simply “totalitarian surveillance” made to sound like something we’d actually want?

With the death rate of COVID-19 in Canada hovering as low 0.2% (based on 4111 deaths and a 6% infection rate) why on earth would we need to give up our privacy to a costly high-tech citizen tracking program?

Apparently, I’m not the only one to see through this clever terminology. Below that CTV YouTube video check out the comments. Canada is waking up! Hundreds and hundreds of people letting the government know we’ve caught on that they’re using this pandemic to justify clear violations of the Charter of Rights and Freedom (to put it mildly).

“Old Timer Toronto” posted: “Is [the] Ontario PC transforming into a totalitarian party? He is dangling the possibility of allowing some businesses to reopen as a reward for accepting population surveillance by the government.”

Check it out. And then check out this episode of the Corbett Report for details about how world leaders plan to implement contact tracing. If you suggested this was coming a year age you would have been labelled a “conspiracy theorist.” Now it’s all over the news.

If you don’t want your children from growing up in an Orwellian surveillance grid, start calling and emailing your local representatives (while it’s still legal to do so). Let them know what you think about Big Brother’s “contact tracing” program to keep us “safe” (controlled).
