Gunshots & COVID Shots

Wednesday, July 27, 2022

"The purpose of a writer is to keep civilization from destroying itself," said 1957 Nobel Prize in Literature recipient, Albert Camus.

We writers aim to do this mainly through our essays, stories and poems. But, sometimes, a petition doesn't hurt either. On July 20, I joined two dozen other Canadian authors and writers in co-signing a statement opposing the government's policies of medical coercion, segregation and censorship around the COVID shots.

On the subject of shots, I've been learning how to shoot a gun. Why? Hands-on research for the sequel to Much Ado About Corona, for self-defence and because Canada's prime minister is trying to ban guns.

My instructor is my freedom-fighting friend and witty gun aficionado Dennis Dill...

For one of his shooting ranges, he uses a burnt-out barn that looks like a war-torn village...

Budding writer Julie Fleischauer of JupiterJulie.com joined us. It was  also her first time firing a gun. But you couldn't tell. Jupiter Julie was hitting the target right away (as you can see in this video). Maybe she's really from Mars instead of Jupiter?

After wearing out that target, we moved to the soybean field where Dennis taught us some more covert shooting positions...
Here's a 30-second video of me dinging the metal target. Not bad for my first day, being half blind, and having to use my non-dominant hand.

Oddly enough, the COVID shots are clearly killing millions of people worldwide, yet the government is pushing them as hard as they can. At the same time, the same corrupt politicians try to demonize law-abiding citizens who are willing to use gunshots to protect themselves, friends and families.

PS Will Dove, of the The Iron Will Report, recently posted this five-star review on Amazon about my novel: "Seriously folks, read the book. Much Ado About Corona is a fantastic read and well worth your time. The thing I really enjoyed about the story was how three-dimensional the characters were. It’s an excellent tool if you have friends, family or co-workers who are on the fence and open to starting to hear the truth.”
