"the magic that holds
the sky up from the ground"

Two weeks ago, I discovered a 1999 song by the Indie band Ben Fold Five called "Magic." I've probably listened to it fifty times already.

It's about "the magic that holds the sky up from the ground" and recounts a vision  of a deceased loved one's spirit dancing by the light of the moon.

Tonight the moon is full. You may want to give this song a listen as you gaze out at that strange, white orb which has been shining down upon us crazy band of homo sapiens for millennia.

With the probable and impending death of a loved one, this song has touched me deeply. It also removes some of the fears that both the mainstream and alternative media bombard us with in these seeming "end times" and replaces it with sweet sadness and a dash of hope.

You can listen to Ben Fold Five's Magic on YouTube, Spotify, iTunes or Soundcloud. It may put some "stars in your eyes" (and a few tears).
