Confession: I'm a recovering
marketing consultant...
Wednesday, August 24, 2022
If you ever happened to have read
my bio, you might recall how it says I used to be a ghostwriter. While that is 100% true, there's more to the story: I was also a copywriter. What's a copywriter? Someone who writes marketing material.
Yes, it's true, I'm a recovering marketing consultant. But, I swear, I was an ethical one. I connected people with health problems to products that would help them get better (mainly books and courses I ghostwrote for doctors).
Another ethical marketer helping people find the truth is Ken McCarthy. He is a pioneer in the field of internet marketing.
Time Magazine credits his insights as a key factor in the commercialization of the World Wide Web.
But history will better remember Ken as one of the pioneers of web-based journalism. Since 1997, his website,
BrasscheckTV.com, has been bypassing mainstream censorship to expose corruption in academia, medicine and government.
Needless to say, I was honoured and thrilled when Ken bought a copy of my novel
Much Ado About Corona, read it with enthusiasm, gave it a
five-star review on Amazon and then invited me onto Brasscheck TV to record an interview last Monday.
More than an interview, it's a lively and fun discussion about what Ken described as a global "marketing campaign to terrify people out of their wits."
Ken released the video today. You can watch it now on
BrasscheckTV.
