How an Unvaxed Postal Worker
Skipped the Jab and Kept his Job
Wednesday, October 5, 2022
I met Michael Mafilovski last winter, when we went for a hike with my son...
Michael refused the jab and, as a Canadian Postal worker, was told he'd be laid off without severance for his dissidence. At the time, I was helping Michael connect with local farmers, so he'd have a backup source of income. As it happens, he never ended up having to shovel pig manure. He wrote me this week to say:
Yes, I'm still with Canada Post. I never lost a day of work actually. My tactic was to exhaust all my options. So when I was denied my religious exemption, I requested a medical exemption, knowing full well that that was not going to get me anywhere — except to buy me some more time. When that was denied (simply because I did not return any filled out forms before the deadline), I requested a human rights exemption. I re-wrote my religious letter for that request, kinda reworded some paragraphs and prefaced it with the preamble of the Canadian Human Rights Act... and.. denied again!
This whole stress-filled fiasco took me right into late June, when — ta-daa! — the Feds announced that they would be suspending their jab mandates for federal employees.
So he beat the bureaucrats at their own game — pushing paper around until the tyranny blew over.
On an even more cheerful note (for me at least), Michael concluded his email by sharing:
BTW, I purchased
your novel from
Pfenning's Organic... a real page-turner for sure. I could have finished it in one week, but I chose to savour it and spread out my readings slowly so that it took me about three weeks... It was disappointing to get to the end of the book because I wanted it to keep on going!
And the villain of the story, Constable Justin T. Mackenzie, also won Michael's praise:
Quite the complex character, I liked how you fleshed out his background, with *** **** ****** ** *****, and how that solidified his draconian stance on the whole public health narrative. His breaking point on page 316/317 had my heart rate up... Such a great dramatic climax!
Few things make me happier than to hear how a brave person like Michael Mafilovski really understood, appreciated and enjoyed
