People Who Talk With Dead People

When my wife began contemplating going off dialysis and passing onto Shakespeare's "undiscovered country," we came across an autobiographical book about a medium.

Yes, a medium. Let's just say, I was more than skeptical.

Despite the fact that my novel, Much Ado About Corona, has two characters who end up speaking to other deceased characters (who died as a result of the COVID mandates), I never thought much about talking to dead people. I had added these supernatural elements to the story to serve as a metaphysical allegory. I never refer to the characters as mediums. While I've always been open to the possibility of talking to the dead, I had assumed mediums were mostly con artists or people with a vivid imagination.

That was until I read Laura-Lynn Jackson's The Light Between Us....

Despite the fact she looks like she just won the Miss New Age Beauty Pageant, the case studies she shares in her book are a little hard to dismiss as a well-contrived hoax. Furthermore, the chapters describing the rigorous and thorough testing and certification she received from the Windbridge Research Center, the Forever Family Foundation and the Rhine Research Center also made me question how fantastical the otherworldly elements of my novel were.

In the end, Laura-Lynn Jackson's book was of great comfort to my wife, son and me, supporting our belief, with scientific evidence, that the drama of life continues after death. In fact, it almost made Nicole excited about dying.

I'd encourage anyone who expects to die one day, or those grieving the loss of loved ones, to read with an open mind The Light Between Us. Nicole, Jonah and I read several books on mediumship (many we couldn't complete) and this was by far the most authentic and convincing to us.

PS While I'm no medium, I can lay claim to receiving 3 Surreal Signs From My Wife in Heaven.

PPS When my muse added the "medium" element to my novel, I was concerned readers would complain. Instead, I've received only positive comments about the metaphysical aspects of Much Ado About Corona.
