God's Thumbprint:
Writing From Another Dimension
Friday, December 2, 2022
I was moved by a
recent interview on TNT Radio with Brad Skistimas, the solo member of the band
Five Times August. Skistimas recently released the album
Silent War, a collection of his songs opposing the COVID agenda that can't help but wake up the sleeping dissident in us all.
Here's my son Jonah, with our copy which arrived in the mail last week...
"I do see God’s thumbprint on it," says Skistimas, speaking about his new album. "The [first] song came out of prayer and sort of a spiritual partnership, as a creator, as an artist. It was sort of me going: 'God I have always written [my previous] songs from such a personal space — my own songs about what I was going through in life. I wanted to write songs that You want me to write.'"
He actually describes the experience as "writing songs that I felt came from another dimension."
The reason this resonated with me so much was because that's exactly how I felt writing
Much Ado About Corona: A Dystopian Love Story. (and, currently, writing the sequel,
Brave New Normal). I just start writing each day and watch what comes out of the pen.

PPS Need gift ideas that will really wake up your family and friends on Christmas morning? Since frankincense, gold and myrrh are a bit expensive, so how about music, art and literature? Why not order a few Five Times August's
Silent War CDs, Jordan Henderson's
COVID-19 paintings as jigsaw puzzles, and copies of my novel
Much Ado About Corona (which largely takes place over Christmas 2020)?
