Yesterday, at 9:15am, I put on my running sandals and launched out into the cold, winter landscape for a 3.5 km run...
Twenty-five slippery minutes later, I arrived at In Tune Audio on the edge of town and was promptly confined to a sound-proof room for two hours...
...where I recorded chapters 2 through 8 of Much Ado About Corona with the help of audio-engineer Charlie McEvoy (who has years of experience helping the big publishers)...
It took about two hours to record 30 pages. Then another hour to edit the audio. It'll consume a good 35-45 hours of work — if we don't include rehearsals and language lessons. Yes, language lessons! The book contains several lines of French, German and Ojibwe dialogue, of which I have quasi-zero competency. Next post, I'll share how I tackled this linguistic hurdle.

Stay sane, stay real,
