Davis You is a cellist living in California. Well, he may be four cellists. No, not because he uses the "they/them" pronoun. Rather it's because in his music videos there are four of him handling all the melody and harmony, as you can see here...

On Sunday (at noon), I'm releasing a multi-media preview video of Much Ado About Corona. It includes never-before-seen illustrations by artist Jordan Henderson and... the music of Davis You.

As readers of the novel know (spoiler alert!), Much Ado About Corona's romantic subplot is paralleled by frequent excerpts from one of Franz Schubert's Lieds. A Lied isn't a falsehood. It's German for a series of songs with piano accompaniment. It's capitalized because Germans capitalize all their nouns. (An unsatisfactory historical explanation for this semantic quirk can be found on Deutsch WTF). Anyway, the Lied used in my novel is called Die Shöne Müllerin (Müllerin being far more difficult to pronounce than Lied).

Davis You, and his cloned quartet, has/have performed all 20 songs of Die Shöne Müllerin for the cello. And he/they have given me permission to use snippets in the audio/visual  preview I'll be releasing on Sunday at noon.
