Blazing Reader,
Father Anthony Hannon is one of the few Catholic priests in the world to publicly speak out against the COVID mandates and other tyrannical shenanigans. I hadn't heard from him in a while, but my recent article, "The Worst Christmas Sermon Ever," caught his attention. He sent me an email saying:
"Of course I wasn't there so I can only guess at the intended message of the preacher, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't intend anything bad, and I'm sure you realize that as well."
Yes, I agree, I'm sure he didn't. But I think that's what made it all the worse. He was pushing mediocrity as something to aspire to. I'd have been fine if he just said, "Hey, we were beat, and we just needed a break from Christmas." I wouldn't even care if he thoroughly disliked Christmas and would rather go build a model plane. But when he's literally calling doing nothing for Christmas "the best Christmas" it's a dangerous road he's pointing his dwindling congregation down.
It seems like more double-speak: Injecting poison into your kids is life-saving, letting men use girls change rooms is tolerance, discriminating against white people is anti-racist, etc.
"But I think that your insights about true desires and goals and the mediocrity of our days are spot on! Would it be fair to ponder that maybe the preacher as well as yourself might be trying to counter a certain superficiality about life that seems pervasive? I mean, my conjecture at the preacher's perspective on the superficiality of this time of year would be out of touch with the reality of our day, and his advice would be not as countercultural as he might think, but we, that is you and I, are kind of dumbfounded about how so many people just cannot see the tyrannical path that our society is on."
And just think what a confusing mind-control program priests like him have been through during lockdown. Suddenly his bishop was telling him the holy thing to do was to let the government close down his church. And when they finally let him get back to holding Mass, he was instructed to add all these sacrilegious social distancing and mask wearing rituals to a 2,000-year-old tradition.
"Anyway, your article helps me a lot, so thank you very much. Keep sharing your thoughts about this or that because as we all search for meaning, comprehension, and truth, you never know what good might come out of sharing the way you see things at this particular moment. That is a general attitude I try to have, especially when I share things publicly on YouTube."
