We interrupt your doom-and-gloom scrolling
to show you the subtle beauty
of shadows on a wild goat's flank

Blazing Reader,

Jordan Henderson, the artist who painted the cover to my novel, Much Ado About Corona, has released his latest painting, plus more charcoal sketches.

His latest pieces, Jordan says, "offer you no political or controversial topics" but are presented merely "for your viewing pleasure."

He adds, "If this post interrupted you in the midst of doom scrolling, so much the better!"

That said, he does have a still life of a human skull that may give you the willies.

What I particularly love about his new painting, which is of a wild goat running through the woods, is the pattern that the shadow of the tree branches makes when landing on the animal's flank.

Be sure to check out the phantasmic charcoal sketch of Abraham Lincoln — the eyes are so presidential.
