Blazing Reader,
Today, my proofreaders sent back part three of Dr. Science Fiction Himself — the final part of my satirical short story (where I confront Dr. Anthony Fauci in the basement of the NIH's headquarters).
In part one, Fauci confessed the rationale behind his madness.
Part two ended on a life-threatening cliffhanger.
And here's how my proofreaders described part three (after scouring it for typos):
Pete Toccalino: "Excellent laugh-out-loud ending, John. The whole piece is well-written, very funny and has that easily visualizable, cinematic quality your best work tends to have."
Jeanette Thiessen: "...amazing story. I certainly did not see where it was headed!"
Gwyneth Cann: "This is simply excellent! It felt oddly like a film."
Gwyneth is a bit of a literary critic (she and her husband used to own a bookstore) so that was quite a compliment. More so, all three are volunteer proofreaders (either because they really like my work or they really hate my typos) — so it's not as if they're praising the story to keep their six-figure salaries.
Now, I hope their comments leave you eagerly awaiting the cinematic finale of Dr. Science Fiction Himself — which I'll release on Sunday.
Until then, if you haven't yet read part one, you have time to catch up. Readers are calling part one "an absolutely amazing story," "a great piece of satire" and "a genius idea". Click here to find out why.
