"Based on the numbers, Anthony Fauci
may well be the world's greatest mass murderer..."

Blazing Reader,

Last week, I was beginning to wonder if my satirical portrayal of Dr. Anthony Fauci in my new short story, Dr. Science Fiction Himself, was too harsh.

That was until I heard last week's episode of Just Right, which featured a clip from The Late Show With Stephen Colbert interviewing the madman. But unlike my fictitious interview with Dr. Evil — where I held Fauci accountable for his unfathomable crimes against humanity — Colbert positioned St. Fauci as a martyr under attack by a hostile and politicized citizenry.

Here's how Just Right's host, Bob Metz, responded to the disgraceful clip:

"Suppose that was Hitler or Stalin sitting on the chair beside CBS's Late Show host, Stephen Colbert. Would they have gotten the same warm welcome that was extended to Dr. Anthony Fauci? You know, I've reached the point in all of this where I'd almost have to answer 'yes' to that question. After all, the Canadian parliament, already having publicly praised and honoured a Nazi murderer for the whole world to see, would certainly do the same for Hitler, don't you think?

"That anyone would even entertain having Fauci as a credible and virtuous guest on their talk show is unconscionable and complicit. Shame on Stephen Colbert.

"Based on the numbers, Anthony Fauci may well be the world's greatest mass murderer — having been responsible for the deaths of more people than died in all of America's wars combined. And that's the real Anthony Fauci as described in the book of the same name written by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

"If Fauci is wondering why he's suddenly finding himself faced with vitriol and pure hostility it's probably because more people are becoming aware of what an evil psychopath he truly is."

Based on Bob Metz's assessment, my satirical depiction of Fauci as an evil psychopath was probably just right.

And let me tell you... It's not easy to turn a story about the world's greatest mass murderer into a black comedy — but Dr. Science Fiction Himself is having readers laughing out loud. I was calling it the most far-fetched interview with Anthony Fauci this side of Pluto, but after hearing Stephen Colbert's farther-fetched interview, CBS's Late Show deserves first place.

PS And for an even more outrageous Fauci interview (that sadly is not fiction) check out the clip from The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in episode 866 of Just Right.
