"Ride Forever"

Fri Sep 20 2024

Blazing Reader,

Today, it's been two years since my wife passed away.

One of the songs Nicole listened to over and over again in her last months was "Ride Forever" by Paul Gross.

Paul Gross is more famous for his role as Constable Ben Fraser in the outstanding TV Series Due South than for his country-folk music (of which he has only written two songs). But "Ride Forever" is a beautiful piece about living life as fully as possible despite all the loss, sadness and hardship it contains — to "ride forever" and only when "the angels call... we might pull in the reins."

With permission from Paul Gross, I turned the song into a music video synched with key moments from Nicole's life. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAjVpAhTRWE

Ride forever my love,
