"The emperor wears no clothes and goes to the spa religiously"

Blazing Reader,

The Last American Vagabond recently sent me a link to a music video by the indie-electronic duo Spyderland. I can't say their style — which they describe as one that "vibrates both ancient and futuristic sounds" — vibrates well with me. Nonetheless, I try to push my musical comfort zone at times, and have to say I was impressed with many of the heart-wrenching lyrics from their song, "We Can't Go Back."

"We Can't Go Back" is about the trauma people experienced during the global scamdemic, when governments around the world worked in lockstep to oppress, gaslight and poison citizens they'd vowed to serve and protect.

Here's a few sample lyrics to push your comfort zone:

"My poor child, my poor child, what’s been done to you?"

"It’s that evil. Yes, it’s that evil."

"The trauma exists, but your existence can’t be pinned to that."

"The emperor wears no clothes and goes to the spa religiously."

"We don’t go back. We can’t go back."

You can watch the music video on their YouTube channel.
