A concrete definition of (the typically abstract term) "spirituality"

Blazing Reader,

In a recent interview, Paul Lendertse (of the Root Cause Institute) offered his definition of the normally abstract term "spirituality":

...the sincere dedication to reflecting on our own behaviours, beliefs and actions — any time we run into a challenge — so that we can look into and find our shadow (the parts of ourselves that may be out of alignment with love and truth).

Other than "sincere dedication" sounding a little redundant, I appreciated his definition — where spirituality isn't about blissing out but rather about growing into a more authentic version of ourselves.

The entire interview was conducted by Jason Christoff with Paul and his wife, Aria, talking about "God, Cancer and the Three Pillars of Slavery." You can watch it on Vimeo.
