He goes on to say, "OK, this will not be news to geopolitical realists who have two eyes to observe reality and two brain cells to rub together. There are any number of independent analysts — including yours truly and a number of my previous guests — who have been unafraid to call out the American Empire for what it is for some time now.

"But the American Empire has never admitted to being an empire before."
