Fri Jun 30 2023 | A Fair Country Telling Truths |
Compared to the rest of the Americas, Canadian settlers lived in relative peace with the Indigenous peoples, explains John Ralston Saul in his book A Fair Country Telling Truths About Canada. Intermarriage between the cultures was common. We exchanged ideas, knowledge and resources. One reason for such harmony was the climate. When you live in a land that's trying to freeze you to death 6-9 months a year, you've gotta work together. Ever hear of Inuits having bloody wars? Sadly, this tradition of patient negotiation is something Canada is losing fast as people are cancelled, censored and shunned for having opposing views on everything from climate change to gender identity to germ theory. A Fair Country Telling Truths About Canada offers a nobler vision for not just our country, but the world, based on the unique circumstances that formed this nation. Whether you live in Canada or not, I highly recommend you give it a read.
Thu Jun 29 2023 | Banned on YouTube, my son's music video is back online... |
YouTube banned it for singing about how "They're coercing us to get a vax / That's causing teens to die of heart attacks." Then it got taken down from Rumble and BitChute because of a legal challenge regarding one of the images used in the music video. But truth, music and perseverance have prevailed: My 16-year-old son's "Covidian Lies" (a dissident parody of "America Pie") is back online — this time with subtitles. Sadly, it's lost its old URL, views and thumbs ups. So, even if you've already seen it, it would be great if you could give it another view, like it and share it with as many people as you can. You can "dig those rhythm and blues" over at Jonah's new Rumble and Bitchute channels.
Wed Jun 28 2023 | The Surprising Place Agatha Christie Learned to Poison People | Agatha Christie's murder mysteries are famous for at least thirty deaths by poison, because she thought "[poison] has not the crudeness of the revolver bullet or the blunt instrument." Surprisingly, according to Owlcation, her extensive knowledge of poisons came from "her work as both a nurse and a pharmacy dispenser..." That's shocking, but no mystery, as Jason Christoff points out in his newsletter: "[Vaccines are known] poisons, injected under the skin (most reserved for infants under 1 year old) with the promise of a healthier outcome... What about medicines that are also poison (because if you take the whole bottle you will die) with the same promise of course... In the US, you are 50 times more likely to die after going to a hospital or your doctor compared to getting murdered by [a] firearm." It seems both Christoff and Christie might agree on the murderous nature of modern medicine.
Tue Jun 27 2023 | Regarding Sheeple | In my recent interview on Get Woke Up!, about my novel Much Ado About Corona, I was asked how I managed to avoid writing the characters who believed in the COVID mandates as total farces? Here was part of my response: "Listen, I’ve got nothing against sheeple... they keep society going. If everybody in Canada questioned authority as much as I do, we’d never get anything done. But, at the same time, we need a few goats like me and you to keep the sheep away from the wolves." For my full answer, plus many more questions from the wacky folk at Get Woke Up!, you can read the full interview.
Mon Jun 26 2023 | Gain of Function Fantasy | "They invented the lab created or 'engineered virus' story to give the anti-vax community something to get excited about [thinking] 'they caught the bad guys red-handed,'" says Dr. Tom Cowan, MD in the documentary Terrain. "The bad guys are smarter than that and suckered them into promoting the, 'Oh my God, there is a dangerous engineered virus circulating.' [It] keeps the virus story going and scares people even worse. They are grand masters in chess. Most people [are] either playing checkers or don't even know there is a game." From the beginning, I thought the "gain of function" story was a work of fiction. To find out why, you can get free and immediate access to the film Terrain by signing up for the forthcoming End of COVID Summit.
Sat Jun 24 2023 | The Logic of Liberty |
In response to my post last Saturday about "The Fake Political Spectrum" — wherein I argued that the "true right" (note: not right-wing, republican, conservative) stands for freedom and the treacherous left stands for tyranny — some readers argued that I have it backwards. They point to the 18th century French legislature, where those opposing an authoritarian government sat on the left. True enough, except, even among those early advocates of individual rights and freedom were those calling for equality of property and income through government intervention. So privledged freedom for the downtrodden, but state-sponsored theft and manipulation (AKA taxation and regulation) of everybody else. When people are busy arguing the merits of various shades of communism versus fascism, freedom has no place in the political debate. Hence why I called it a fake political spectrum. For an in-depth look at how logic — rather than history, tradition or the latest political rantings — shows why the common conceptions of left-right are invalid, I highly recommend reading Roger Bissel's essay The Logic of Liberty: Aristotle, Ayn Rand, and the Logical Structure of the Political Spectrum.
Fri Jun 23 2023 | He was told he was "almost certainly committing suicide" | When Peter Wright crossed the border between warring Zaire and Rwanda, back in the early 90s, he was told he was "almost certainly committing suicide." "I walked up to the Zaire side of the border," he writes, "between sand-bagged machine gun positions, soldiers with AK47s looking at this solitary white man walking with his luggage." That's just a sample of the intense short biographical stories that make up the chapters of Peter Wright's 5 Steps to Thriving on Adversity. I recently read the book to my 16-year-old son — we both found his life lessons from Africa full of page-turning inspiration to persevere when faced with hardship and injustice. You can find out more or purchase a copy through his website. (I know Peter Wright personally, as we've both worked together locally to fight the COVID mandates. I've also blogged previously about his three days in a 120 sq. ft cell with 27 other prisoners.)
Thu Jun 22 2023 | A "Safe and Effective" Interview | The satirical news site Get Woke Up! published a feature interview with me yesterday, which they introduced with their usual wit: "While most of the world spent three years trying to flatten a two week curve, got spooked out on TV news infographics, took medical advice from Twitter doctors, stood six feet apart, posted vaccine selfies, obeyed tyrannical dictators and their newspapers, and even celebrated birthdays over Zoom (that was a thing?—ed), novelist John C. A. Manley instead crafted a poignant fictional novel based on the real science fiction of the world around him in Much Ado About Corona: A Dystopian Love Story In this GWU! unredacted exclusive, John discusses everything from the inspiration behind the novel to his National Book Award snub and what’s next for the fictional town of Moosehead where the novel is set. A Vaxx Pass is NOT REQUIRED to continue reading this SAFE AND EFFECTIVE interview."
Wed Jun 21 2023 | The stigma of a white author writing about Indigenous people | Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada. So I thought it would be a good time to answer a question no one has dared ask me about my novel, Much Ado About Corona: A Dystopian Love Story... Was it difficult writing a 500-page story with five Indigenous characters when you weren’t native yourself? The short answer: Yes… partly because there is a stigma around non-natives writing about natives — especially a white author of European descent (though my great, great maternal grandmother is rumoured to have been Anishenaabe.) For the longer answer: Check out my latest blog post (with photos) where I talk about the many obstacles I faced in finding a beta reader from the Indigenous community.
Tue Jun 20 2023 | The Dirtiest Story Ever Told | For many centuries we've been told a dirty story: That if someone is sick, just breathing the air around them can make you ill. We call it contagion theory. This widely believed story allowed a small band of elite villains to convince billions of people to fear their "dirty" neighbour and take truly dirty injections. But what if this germ story is a dirty work of far-fetched fiction? That's the theme behind the documentary Terrain, produced by Andrew Kaufman, MD and Marcelina Cravat. You can get free and immediate access to the film by signing up for the forthcoming End of COVID Summit.
Mon Jun 19 2023 | "I don't want more for less / I just want happiness." | British-Canadian folk singer Martin Kerr, in his song "Not Found in Stores," sings: "I don't want more for less / I just want happiness. / You can keep your guarantees / If you buy one get one frees." That's from his 2017 album, Better Than Brand New. It's full of music about the beauty of being a human being in good times and bad. You can hear the whole song on his website, where he warns about the "mechanistic" mindset of consumer culture.
Sat Jun 17 2023 | The Fake Political Spectrum | For years now, every week, without fail, my son and I listen to the podcast Just Right. The biggest lesson I've learned from the host, Bob Metz, is the true meaning of the bastardized terms "right" and "left" as it pertains to politics. In simple terms, Bob Metz argues the left takes away freedom and individualism; the right protects freedom and individualism. Therefore, how can there be a "political spectrum"? What possible moral middle ground could exist between freedom and tyranny? This is why claiming to be right or left of centre has led us tumbling down the woke slope of Marxist enslavement to fascist government dictates. You can check out the latest episode of Just Right for Bob Metz's well-articulated understanding of the binary nature of politics: Just Left—The Ideology of Irrationality
Fri Jun 16 2023 | COVID's Older Brother | A novel new virus is discovered which is highly contagious and has no treatment. Despite its deadly nature, it spreads from person to person without any symptoms — you only know you have it if you get tested. The sole cure is a drug that causes even more harm than the supposed disease. No, I'm not talking about COVID. I'm referring to its older brother which was almost as popular in its heyday: AIDS. Investigative journalist Ken McCarthy has just released a new book focusing on how "veteran Pharma-royalties-collecting Washington bureaucrat Anthony Fauci and friends" have long been in the business of conning the public out of freedom, health and money with fake virus scares. You can help stop the next scamdemic by purchasing a copy of Fauci's First Fraud in ebook or paperback — it's already reached numerous bestseller lists on Amazon.
Thu Jun 15 2023 | Big-Pharma's Mafia Men in Blue | April 2021, the Ontario government ordered police to randomly stop motorists to make sure they weren't travelling too far away from home. You know, to stop the spread (of freedom). Fortunately, the police outright refused to become Big Pharma's mafia men in blue. This caused the premier to rescind his orders, saying, sorry, "we moved too fast."
But what if the police had gone along with medical dictatorship? That's how it is in the alternative world I portray in my next novel, Brave New Normal.
If you haven't yet, you can check out this short excerpt where Vince and Yamamoto get stopped at a vaxport checkpoint on their way back to Moosehead.
Wed Jun 14 2023 | Nazis Who Say Please (sneak preview of my next novel) | Today, I'm releasing the first sneak preview, from a chapter called "Nazis Who Say Please." While book two is a little more dystopian, I think you'll see it retains the same courageous wit of book one. You can read it (or listen to an audio of me reading it) here.
