“Vice is easy. Failure is easy, too.”

Thank you to everyone who attended the Much Ado About Corona virtual book launch with Vaccine Choice Canada on Wednesday night.

If you weren’t able to attend, don’t worry I didn’t notice — I couldn’t see anyone from my guest portal. I heard, however, that there were between 180 and 250 in attendance. That’s including my mother—who later assured me that it didn’t look like anyone fell asleep during my reading of the prologue and chapter one.

After two years of daily work, releasing this — my debut novel — is a milestone for me. It wasn’t easy; but as I read last night in Jordan Peterson’s 12 Rules for Life:

Vice is easy. Failure is easy, too. It’s easier not to shoulder a burden. It’s easier not to think, and not to do, and not to care. It’s easier to put off until tomorrow what needs to be done today, and drown the upcoming months and years in today’s cheap pleasures.

If you missed the book launch, I’ll be sending subscribers a link to the video replay when it’s ready.

Be brave. Read books. Stay sane!

PS Father Anthony Hannon (who provided valuable feedback on drafts #8 and #13) sent me this comment: “Some friends were on your video conference to launch the book tonight. They said that when you stopped reading they really wanted to know what came next! LoL! I told them that’s your special writing style talent! When I was going through your final drafts it was hard for me to resist telling myself, ‘Just one more chapter and then I’ll go to bed.’ Anyone who might read this comment, go ahead and order the book. You’ll be glad you did. God bless.”
